Lennox and Addington Children’s Aid Society began operations in 1899, and was incorporated in 1933. In 1985, our name was changed to Lennox and Addington Family and Children’s Services.
The society operated out of the Town Hall in Napanee until 1928, then moved to the upstairs of the Royal Bank building until 1932, after which operations were moved to Dundas Street East, over Brady’s Meat Market. In 1952, the agency relocated to the County Memorial Building at 41 Dundas Street East In 1992 the agency moved to a newly constructed site at 465 Advance Avenue. In the spring of 2010 we have again moved to a newly constructed facility, located at 99 Advance Ave, Napanee.

A large thank you to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their generous grant of $22,600 to help us construct a new play structure and purchase furniture for our family visiting facility. Children and families will enjoy many hours of active play and enjoyment for years to come.

Agency Announces New Name
At the Annual General Meeting of Lennox and Addington Family and Children’s Services, held jointly this year with The Children’s Aid Society of the City of Kingston and Frontenac County, Board Presidents John Mooney and Brian Devlin announced that, effective January 1st, 2012, the name of our new amalgamated organization will be: “Family and Children’s Services of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington”.
The name was chosen in recognition of the central focus of the work of the organization, to strengthen and support the families within the combined jurisdiction of the two counties.
